Clippy
A second chance for your clipboard.
A local macOS clipboard history utility with search, rolling retention, and support for text, links, images, and file references.

Native SwiftUI capture using built-in sample mode.
What it does.
Clippy keeps a short, searchable history of what you copy. It uses the documented system clipboard APIs and an explicit retention window, with collection and storage that stay on the Mac.
Find a recent copy
Search clipboard history and copy a safely restorable item back to the clipboard.
Keep a short history
Choose a rolling 2-48 hour retention window. Automatic purging and an item cap limit what is kept.
Handle common formats
Plain text, RTF, URLs, images with thumbnails, and file references. Unsupported formats retain minimal metadata.
Control collection
Pause collection, delete individual items or clear history, and configure source-app exclusions.
A closer look.
Behind the application.
Current status
Source and locally built app are present. No public distribution was verified. App exclusion attribution relies on the frontmost app and is not perfect for every workflow.
